I wanted to capture the spirit of an Old West journey for a long time, but like many of my larger scaled paintings it takes a lot of research and all the elements need to fall into place. With a Stagecoach acquired, I was then able to put myself on this journey and imagine what it was like to be one of the jostled travelers crossing the prairie.--Morgan Weistling
