“The champagne wave is the style inspired from my first teacher 25 years ago. When I told my teacher, T.C. Robertson, that I wanted to make glass waves, he showed me on my first day in the glass shop how copper can produce brilliant effects in glass art. The color and hue and bubbles come from copper leaf that is wrapped onto the hot glass. When the 2000 degree glass is dipped over the copper, it goes in rust colored and comes out light blue and bubbly. The magic of heat! ” — DAVID WIGHT
